This was taken on the river bank of the mississippi in downtown new orleans during mardi gras 06. I think it really captures the general vibe of this years mardi gras. There was still this dark cloud over the city, but there was a strong feeling of togetherness no matter who you were.

I truly like the conception and the composition isn't that bad as well, although the forms of the girls dress are quite complex, but it suits the shot.
